POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides leadership and management in all areas of fiscal management of the organization.
Reports to: Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate degree in finance, business or accounting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in health care financial management, preferably in the area of home health care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial situations and make appropriate decisions quickly.
- Knowledge of current market changes, regulations and reimbursement sources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Financial Planning and Development
- Directs and coordinates overall fiscal management of the organization to achieve economic objectives.
- Develops strategic short and long-range financial plans.
- Maintains ongoing liaison with the financial community.
- Establishes systems to assure accurate accounting functions.
- Participates in all financial planning activities and makes recommendations to the Governing Body, as appropriate.
- Establishes systems for the management of billing and payroll functions to assure accuracy and timeliness.
- Identifies data collection needs to assure management of the financial functions of the agency.
- Prepares annual budget with input from administrative/management team.
- Provides accurate monthly financial statements.
Other
- 1Serves on appropriate committees.
- Participates in Governing Body meetings as requested.
- Participates with Governing Body and Administrator in all organizational planning.
- Serves as an educational resource to the staff in areas of finance and accounting.
